Mass delete text messages

Question

My messaging app is slow probably because I have thousands and thousands of texts on my Samsung S22.  How can I delete all of my text history?  I cant do it conversation by conversation.

From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

Tap 
Messages

.

From the Inbox, tap the 
Menu icon
 (upper-right) then tap 
Delete
.

Select the message(s).

Message is marked for deletion when the icon changes to a checkmark.

Tap 
All
 (upper-left) to delete all messages.

Tap the 
Delete icon

(at the bottom).

*

To confirm, tap 
Move to Trash
.

If desired, select (check) 
Also block this number
 to reject future messages from the sender.

The deleted message(s) is moved to trash and deleted permanently in 30 days or trash can be emptied manually.
