I just changed the settings in Messages to delete old messages. Now I cant even get into messenger, it says its not responding. Any ideas

We'll be happy to help you with this. What messenger app are you using? The one that came preinstalled on your Note 3 or a different one? If it's one that was downloaded from the Play Store you may be able to uninstall and reinstall the app. Before doing that, though, sometimes all it takes is simply restarting your phone to fix an issue like this.
