Moving texts to SD card

#SD card Does anyone know how to change the storage of my text messages from the Verizon texting app to save on my SD card? I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+. Thank you for your suggestions. I lost some very important messages today and cannot figure out how to get them restored. If they were on the SD card instead of the Verizon Cloud they would have been safe.

Hi there! Verizon messages will always go to the Verizon message app. Just be sure to back up to a Cloud or the SD card before you delete them. Once they get deleted there is no getting them back if they were not saved first to a specific location or account. Does this make sense?
