My Samsung Galaxy S5 got damp, Not drenched........

My Samsung Galaxy S5 got damp, Not drenched, I dried it off but it wasn't working right so I took the SIM card out now its got a "green robot" on the screen saying DOWNLOADING do not turn off? It's been like that for a couple of hours. What will happen if I turn it off and try to reboot it.?

It says water resistant to 1 meter for 30 minutes. We took the battery out, put it back in and it seems to be working other than missing weather app displayed on the home page, we'll reload that and hopefully be ok.

try it, s5's supposedly waterproof.

Tidbits

It's resistant due to the removable battery. You have to be careful on how you put on the backplate. Not putting it on a certain way it won't seal properly and if you get it wet will void your warranty.

As Tidbits posted, Start the battery cover sealing by lightly pressing on the cover with thumb and index finger while staying on the phone's frame itself. Make sure to seal completely around the cover. Next with light pressure press in at rear center using finger tips to seat gasket seal around battery.
