I recently purchased a Network Extender through Verizon. It is hooked up and working, showing 4 blue bars on the device and a small "house" picture above my bars on my SGS3. I had called #48 to set it up as instructed. My problem is, it still only shows 1-2 bars on my phone. When I was in my dentist waiting room, my phone showed 5 bars. I want that at my home. Please help!!

You're not going to increase your bars. You cell signal is still going to stink. As far as I know all a Network Extender does is use your broadband connection to connect calls. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

The network extender handles the voice calls and the 3G data. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is reflecting the strength of the LTE network in the area around your house is LTE is available.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

You will need one of these if you need to increase 4G/LTE inside your house http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0V9-000B-00001 but if you have a solid 2 bars inside your house I don't think I would spend the extra money but if your bars very lower than 2 bars from time to time I would think about getting this. I have this in my house cause my bars inside my house would go to nothing but outside I would always have 2 - 3 bars. Signal will very from time to time usually. You could have also added the 3G version of this on the same outside antenna for probably less money than VZW sold you that Network extender and left the load on VZW instead of off loading your traffic to your network. The only thing good about those things is if you are in a very fringe area where you don't have signal outside your house. Don't know what VZW will do when they cut the voice over to VoLTE later this year and start selling 4G/LTE phones which I have read they are going to do by early 2014 at the latest. I don't feel they will have that much 4G/LTE turned up by that time but we will see I guess. Just looked at the price on these 2 and I see they have gone up since I bought mine 6 months ago.

xyz123, service can be tricky indoors when using a network extender. The strength of your wireless signal weighs heavily on your Internet connection. I recommend that you power your device off/on and remove your sim card to soft reset your device. Keep us posted.

I have a Samsung SCS-26UC4 network extender hooked up through my Verizon Fios High Speed Internet connection. I office from my home and the extender doesn't seem to do much better than when it is off. I bought an amplified cellular booster antenna for my roof. It doesn't help. My question is: What Fequency does the cell phone recieve at? I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII. The antenna is tuned to receive and amplify 3G 2100 MHZ. Should it work?
Thanks for a quick reply.
