My galaxy s6 doesn't deliver all of my texts on time. About once a month I get a mass quantity of texts (anywhere from 30-65 at a time) that were not delivered to me when they were sent. It will also sometimes deliver texts 4-8 times that I only sent once. I took my device into a verizon store today (actually two stores because I just couldn't believe the first wouldn't help me) I was told I have to pay off the device for them to replace it. I have missed business due to clients texting and my not receiving the text. This is absurd, I had much higher expectations for customer service than this. I got a lemon of a phone and my business just has to continue suffering because I don't have $450 to pay? I am irate that this is acceptable customer service, what happened to your standards, Verizon? You used to be so much better than this, this is not how you keep customers.

Our number one goal is to find a solution so you can keep steady communication with your clients. When did this problem start happening? What text message application are you using? Does your phone have the most current software version installed? Keep us posted please.

I am using the default messaging app. I first noticed it Dec 11 I texted my mother and she received it 5 times. Then the same thing happened with my husband. A week or so later I received about 50 new texts that I hadn't received when they were sent to me from 7 or 8 different contacts. I thought maybe it was the settings, so I went and changed my settings to keep fewer texts stored in my phone, deleting old ones sooner and also deleted as many conversationas as I could. I rebooted my phone. (I reboot it every few days anyway) randomly my phone still sends my texts multiple times, about a month later the same thing happened, and I got about 35 new texts I shouldve gotten sooner. I contacted verizon support and they had me change apps. I switched to the verizon messaging app and rebooted my phone. 2 1/2 weeks later it happened again. I'm back to the default messaging app, as I prefer it and the verizon app didn't fix the issue.
My husband has the same phone and although his messaging issue isn't half as bad as mine, they're the worst phones we have EVER had. Half the time pressing the home button to wake our phones the phone will wake for half a second, not long enough to even begin putting in the pass code, repeats phrases when we type (for example typing repeats phrases when we type, will display as 'repeats repeats phrases repeats phrases when we type'). A lot of times the keyboard stays up after we lock our phones so then trying to wake and get back into the phone we can't in put the swipe code, or answer phonecalls because the keyboard is in the way. These are only a few of the problems we have had with these devices. Please tell me how we can give thes back and get something that's actually worth the money we're dishing out every month. We wouldn't even mind going back to non-smartphones if it means we have functional devices.

Amsharb, being able to send/receive your text messages is critical to this day and age.Let's dig deeper into this for you. When did this trouble begin for you? Is this happening in a certain zip code? Does performance change indoors vs. outdoors? How often do you typically power off your device? Share further details. Thanks in advance.

As I said in my previous post, the first time I knew there was a problem with text delivery was December 11 and I power my phone off every few days.. I honestly don't know if it's better or worse indoors or outdoors, if I don't receive a text I have no way to know someone sent one, would you have a suggestion to test this? When my phone delivers texts multiple times it is over a span of 20 minutes to 2 hours, it isn't very consistent to be able to tell where it is worse. I live and work in the 79109 zip code, very very flat land here, and have lived and worked here the whole time we have used Verizon, it was never an issue prior to getting a new device.
