Not seeing who is texting me

I recently upgraded to a Samsun Galaxy S4 from my Razor, and things have gone smoothly, BUT---- I get notifications that I have a text message and when I touch it to find out who it is from, nothing shows up.  How do I find out who is texting me.  I don't know what phone the people have that are sending them to me, because I can't even tell who it is from.

I'm sorry you're having problems with your text messages chirolady. I'm sure its frustrating not knowing who you're getting messages from. Are you able to read the texts? Did this start when you got the S 4? Please try powering off, remove battery & SIM card for 30 seconds & restart. Let's see if this helps.

I am having the same issue, among others. This started happening after the update to 4.3. Hard reboot, soft reboot, factory reset have not solved this. Just be lucky your getting the texts. Mine are a hit and miss. I know I miss one after that stupid "knox" tells be something was blocked, usually blocks an email or text.
