I got the notice today to upgrade - I called customer support and begged them on an option to not update...they said..sorry...you have to update.....Again...this is another FORCED UPGRADE. I did not want to upgrade..I WAS HAPPY WITH MY PHONE- But now my connection is lost for Wifi-and I get constant security warnings. My broswer screen now turns on its side..before the update it was flat..just the way I like it. Who are you to force this upon me?? I pay for this ..each month..YOU DO NOT-
This is why I am leaving Verizon - Very simple. THEY FORCE UPDATES FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE HAPPY WITH THEIR PHONE- NOW WE HAVE BUGS...Why not simply have a roll back option...or wait...HAVE A NO UPDATE OPTION?? WTF??
Bye bye Verizon.

I understand the feeling. Lots of people are unclear exactly what advantage S4 users are supposed to get from this, unless they're desperate to connect the phone to a Gear watch, or find that Samsung's Knox is just the security tool they've been looking for (haven't heard of anyone saying that yet).
Be that as it may, though, please know that this forum is primarily user-to-user. Verizon reps look in from time to time, but it's not a useful place for giving feedback to the company.
Take a look at the recent thread titles in the forum, and you'll see that the WiFi connection issue has been raised a number of times. Solutions are offered in some of those threads, which have been helpful to some users but not to others. It's a place to start, anyway.
As for the browser screen turning on its side--that does sound unusual. Is it possible that the Screen rotation setting(formerly known as Auto-rotate) got changed? Pull down the notification screen and check. Or perhaps there's a no-rotate setting in the browser app itself that needs to be reset.

Schtefan,
I am very sorry to hear that you are considering leaving us. We definitely do not want to see you go and hope we can find a way to show you why to stay. We understand that phone customizing is very important and we would never want to force any changes upon you. The software updates are a recommended route, but you are not required to do them right away. Eventually to maintain the phone productivity it will require the change but again that is only to make sure that you phone is at optimal productivity. I too have this phone and recently went through the update. I at first did not like some of the changes but have found that doing a hard reset has cleared any potential bugs and sluggishness http://vz.to/1dJ9CFH. All your information should be backed up with your SD card and all apps will be saved via your google play store. I highly suggest you going this route as it has shown success. Also let us know any other issues you are having because we want to resolve them all. Keep us updated on this situation so we can assist forward if needed.
Thank you,
