I recently set up my Fascinate to synch with my Exchange email, calendar, and contacts. It all worked fine, but my Exchange password was very long, which made it a hassle to unlock the screen on the phone when it timed out.
I shortened my password for Exchange on my computer and on the phone and the connection still works fine.
However, I still have to use the old, long password to unlock the screen.
I've searched all the menus on the phone, but can't find where to change it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is no ability to change the device password after Exchange security policy is applied. There is no password option in the Location & Security settings menu, only swipe unlock settings. Unfortunately at this time there is not a short term work around; however, a planned resolution is under review. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Any update on this issue? I just encountered the same thing. My screen unlock is also long and I didn't realize I would need to enter it to unlock the screen. Any way to change it? Can I delete the Exchange account and set it up again with a shorter screen password?

I would that would be something to try, remove the Exchange account, set the password to be the puzzle unlock, then set it back to the password unlock, giving it a small password, then install your Exchange account again, making sure the Exchange password is something you can live with.
Possibly?
