I have had this issue since switching to Verizon. Some calls go through, some do not.
The calls that do not go through seem to happen repeatedly, but not always, from certain callers/phone #s. But I get other calls that do not ring or show a missed call as well.
Cable company came out and called to let me know. Since my phone didn't ring on my end, and they didn't leave a message, they left! I've been without internet for a week due to "missing" their call..
I tried calling my cell from my work desk phone, the cell did not ring. I tried *73, and powered off the cell, removed the sim card, put it back in after a minute, started phone back up. I was able to call my cell successfully twice from my office phone after. Then waited 30 minutes or so, tried again and the call wouldn't go through.
My signal is decent, at least 3 bars, 4g. This issue happens in various places, out and about, at home, etc
I have a galaxy s4.
From reading through various threads, this seems to be a common issue for verizon, is there a resolution yet? This is getting old and I am missing important calls and appointments due to calls not going through.

Just wanted to make it clear that my cell phone is not showing these incoming calls, does not show a missed call, and if the person leaves a voicemail, an alert will pop up for that. The person on the other end hears 2-3 rings and then voicemail picks up.

It's imperative that you have a reliable device you can count on! What zip code are you located in? Since having the issue have you been able to receive a replacement SIM card?

I am having the same issue with my Droid mini. Occasionally my phone will not ring and the call goes to voicemail. Then, there is no indication on my phone of a missed call unless the caller left a voice message. I have attempted to contact support via Twitter, but decided these forums may be my best option.
Is there any fixes for this issue, as many other customer's problems do not appear to have been resolved. It is quite frustrating as it negatively affects my work and personal life.

The zip code this issue is occurring in is 51346. The problem has been intermittent only over the past month I would estimate, though I've had this phone for probably 7-8 months so it has not been the entire time I've owned it. There were no changes made to the phone around that time.
Thank you for your assistance. I greatly appreciate it.

Pineapple123,
Not showing any alerts for that zipcode. Try wiping the cache partition: http://vz.to/1u92cqs . If the problem still persists place the device in Safe Mode and retest. Let us know if the trouble continue while in Safe Mode?: http://vz.to/1mixchF .
