My son's 3 month old S5 started behaving very erratically - locking up, overheating, shutting down, shortened battery life, etc. We went to a Verizon corporate store and it was determined that the phone needed to be replaced under warranty. Yesterday we received the "replacement" phone in the mail and it consisted of a phone "front". No battery or rear cover! Why isn't the replacement phone a whole phone? I received a whole new phone when we upgraded. The battery is obviously a problem on this thing and I think it should have been replaced as well. We are reluctant to put the old battery in the new phone lest it damage the new phone. Thoughts on this?
