I just got my Galaxy S3 last week and when I send text messages, the phone receiving the message shows wither little boxes or the message is just strange symbols. It doesn't do it all the time and it's to various different phones. I have checked for a software update and it doesn't have one due at this time. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Are you trying to use emojis in your messages? Usually that is what is causing small boxes.
