Starting about two or three weeks ago, my two month old Galaxy S3 has been randomly restarting itself with absolutely no prompt. It will be sitting on my desk and I will feel a vibration and watch as it restarts for no reason. Sometimes, the device will restart multiple times in a row and the bottom part of the phone will become very warm. When this happens I have been removing the battery for several minutes in order to cool the device off but this does not stop the phone from restarting again once I put the battery back in. After searching for other people with this problem I have tried doing several device resets, I've disabled the auto-brightness feature (read somewhere that it was the light sensor experiencing problems with 4.1.2, didn't help) and I've removed all additional apps besides Snapchat, Facebook, and Chase Mobile. Anybody have any experience with this or know how to fix it?? It seems like it might be occurring more often when I'm sending text messages than any other time.
Device Details:
Model Number: SCH-I535
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: I535VRBMF1
Build Number: JZO54K.I535VRBMF1
Hardware Version: I535.10

That's pretty strange, KingZielinski. I want your S3 working like the amazing device it should be. It sounds like you've already covered some pretty important bases. With phone heating up, the next best step would be to bring the phone, battery, and any chargers you've been using into a Verizon Wireless corporate store http://bit.ly/3SdsA for a hands-on evaluation. That way we can make sure you get a working phone back into your hands and we can see if one of your accessories are contributing to the trouble.
