Random reboots

Hi,

i have had some serious problems with my Samsung Galaxy S3. i went through 4 replacements in 4 weeks and still am facing problems with the phone.

The first 2 had a different problem, but the last 2 had the same problem where the phone reboots randomly on its own. I tried the factory reset, tired creating a new Google account. the phone resets with no new apps installed other than Vonage, Whatsapp and FitBit.

Currently i have the 5th replacement and this phone is also restarting randomly. i stopped using the SC card for the last 2 phone and i am not currently using one. i am so frustrated by the phone that i am planning to discontinue my service. any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Persisting problems raise a serious red flag to us. And we refuse to waive our white flag in solving them. As advised properly by a fellow community member, safe mode is the next best step. Please enable to disable third party apps so we can better isolate the issue http://vz.to/1dMdZjU .

Have you used the same battery for all the replacements? Try a different battery.

Have you installed the same 3rd party apps? Try running in Safe Mode for a day or so.

Hi,

i did try a different battery, still got the same problem. As for the 3rd party apps, i installed only Vonage, Whatsapp and Fitbit and the phone was still restarting. Currently i have a lot more though. for the last phone sometimes the phone would reboot into safe mode and again restart itself in 10 mins back into normal mode.

This is odd. Are you sure that the phone was actually in Safe Mode? It's hard to believe that two phones would have the same intermitent hardware problem, so my guess is it's an app or the OS. If Safe Mode will not work, I'm out of ideas at this point.
