I wanted to switch from swipe lock to a pin lock so after I entered my new pin # I received the "unfortunately settings has stopped" message. Now I can't lock my phone or change my settings. Under settings it shows "Swipe" as lock screen type, but when I select it I have to enter my current pin, which doesn't work. So I'm stuck not being able to lock my phone.
I've tried Safe Mode, I cleared the cache on the Settings app, pretty much tried everything I've found other than factory reset. Really don't want to have to go that route. HELP!

I’m sorry to learn of the issues outlined in your post, JOHFR315. We certainly want your phone to work as intended. Since you have tried Safe Mode, and cleared settings apps, and done other troubleshooting steps, the best next step is to do a Factory Reset. Please visit this link for steps to the Factory Reset: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-174628/
Make sure to disable Automatic Restore while doing the reset as per this link: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-173063/
