Reception issues at my house

I am having reception issues at my house. This started about 2 years ago and prior to that I had near flawless service with Verizon Wireless. One day the service in and around my house dramatically decreased. I am not the only person having problems and others have complained about a decrease in reception. Dropped calls, failed text messages, failure to dial, and failure to receive calls is common in my area. I have contacted Tech Support several times and while they are helpful the work order keeps coming back as marginal service area. It got to the point that they agreed to terminate my contract. That will not help me as Verizon has the best service in the area I work and travel. I finally purchased a Wilson DB Pro Cellular repeater with Yagi antenna for my house. I adjusted the antenna based on greatest signal improvement. It improved my signal from a -105 Db to anywhere from a -80 to -90 Db inside my house. Clarity has improved but I still have frequent text failures and failure to dial / receive calls. My signal strength is adequate now so why do I have these problems? Verizon said it is not something they can fix. Has anyone else had these problems? Any fixes? I would love to know why I had a great service and then it turned crappy and Verizon can't help. I am 3 miles from the tower with flat ground and minimal tree coverage.

At my house this issue started after some building construction between my house and the tower which my service comes. There was also a microwave transmission path created between my house and the tower for the towns workers communications. The signal outside the house is still usable most of the time but not always. I added a similar device as you but of a different brand and now have the same usable signal inside my house that I have outside the house. If you had good signal up until a certain time period then something went on between you and the tower at that time, new construction would be my guess. You could use a VZW network extender which off loads your calls to your internet connection. You might find the service for your voice and texts better. Make sure the network extender is good for voice and data. I am surprised VZW has not already suggested this to you in the past.

If you have an S3 - borrow someone else's phone that has a Verizon phone such as the RAZR or an iphone I bet the issue magically goes away with any other verizon phone (OK the Galaxy gets the same ***** reception as the s3 on verizon but their other phones work fine).
