Restore did not restore my progress in games?

ok, This is what happened.

with my phone I did a factory reset, and it restored all my games and progress..

now, I replaced the phone yesterday in the store, due to overheating

and now it didn't restore anything... So I put my apps and games back, but lost ALL my progress....

Why didn't it restore my settings like the 1st time?

Is that because it's a new phone ? (number etc/sim card all stayed the same)

The new phone may not have had the setting turned on. Touch Menu, Settings, Accounts tab, scroll to Backup and reset and select it. Check to see if Automatic restore is checked.
