Has anyone received this box yet. All I hear on here is what WE should do and how wrong we are to complain about good ole Verizon. Here we are again going through this for the second time and still no one can get this right.
And just for the record Don't tell me again this is not verizon's fault because I am the one who is out almost $500. til they decide how and when they will credit my account back.
Supposedly, allegedly, you are supposed to get a return box at the address of record from when your new/exchanged order is processed. Verizon is supposed to send out a text message when the box is on the way. I am two days out from 2 weeks and still haven't gotten the text message. My last contact with a rep indicated if the box doesn't arrive within the two week timeframe, to call back to CS and request a new box be sent.
All fees, taxes and incentive credits will be credited to the account within 1-2 billing cycles. Refunds will be credited back to the original form of payment...supposedly, allegedly, but no timeline was given there. I know from some other posts that some people have already gotten their refunds.
I exercised my upgrade option and received my new phone yesterday, but there is no box to return the Note 7 or mention of it at all. I placed the upgrade order over the phone Saturday (it was not shipped overnight as promised, it was FedEx 2 Day, yet another disappointment) and the representative never said anything about a box. He told me the best thing to do is take it to a Verizon store?
I received my new Pixel XL today but there was no mention of a return box or any instructions as to how I should return my old Note 7. Can we at least get a response to confirm that the boxes will be sent out in the future?
No response from Verizon yet on sending out the boxes but you can bet someone will tell you how wrong you are to be keeping the phone that is going to set your house on fire
After hearing different answers from Verizon regarding the return box, I went right to the source and called Samsung. The rep said they are in the process of sending out the boxes and to please remain patient and we should have them within a week.
Also it seems Verizon is refunding the money before those devices are returned. I received an email from them yesterday stating my refund has been processed and it referenced my order # for Note 7 #2 which is the device that I'm waiting for the box to return.
I returned Note 7 #1 a few weeks ago and that was finally refunded to me on my credit card earlier this week.
It's not Verizon's fault. They didn't make the phone.
They may not have made the phone but they are the ones that made the rules about my MONEY!!
Agreed!! They did not make the phone but they were extremely quick to charge me upfront for the replacement phone (S7E). You guessed correctly - they charged me upgrade fee, sales tax, all upfront. Else their accounting/order processing screen does not work. Sweet!
They also tell me to return the Note 7 in a box I am supposed to receive with instructions. If I fail to do so I will be charged the full price for the Note 7. The threat is ominous - $900-odd for a beautiful banned item.
Then SILENCE!!!! No box, no updated status. Just be patient. This one way patience is getting to be very tiresome. So I join in with my fellow Note 7 buyers and vent.
Verizon please update the forum notice board regarding the 'Return Box".

I guess you are talking about the note 7 return.
I traded up my iphone 5s to a iphone 7 and had the return box for the 5s a week before I got the iphone 7 LOL.
As far as I am concerned I did my part in the Note 7 return process, I'm done. I took it to the Corporate store, they wouldn't take it back, and said they would have a box sent to me, never got it. Called Verizon customer service and after being put on hold for 30 minutes was told the Corporate store never requested one. Customer service told me that they would send one, never received it. So, I tried, I am done. My monthly payment was returned, I have my old Note back on my account and will wait until next year for the new Samsung 8 or new Note.
I echo the same frustration. I have yet to receive a box that was clearly stated from Verizon that we would receive one, upon doing an exchange. The latest notification from Verizon was on Oct. 14th which stated this! I spoke to a rep today who told me that they do not have the capability to order and send such box, and that I would need to go thru Samsung. I was highly [Removed] when she stated this, and I told her that I am not calling Samsung. She asked if I would rather for her to call, while I stayed on the line. I told her yes, I would much rather prefer that, but that did not do much help because Samsung told her to access some link that she texted me which has nothing to do with ordering a box to return this item, and on Samsung's website, they are only doing recovery boxes if you directly purchased thru them, so it seems because you have to input your order # and email address associated with that Samsung order. What it seems like, is that all other orders that were done thru our wireless carriers, we have to go thru them to send this item back....

I ordered my new phone on Oct 12 and received the box to return my Note 7 today (26th).
Yea, I got mine today also.......man........rubber gloves and all. The phone goes in a esd bag, that goes in a box, which goes in a box, then that box goes in the special shipping box......the deed is done!!
I am not contacting anybody anymore about anything! Sitting on my second Note7 until they brick it or get this right. Box, shmox..
Hello All,
I received my return box yesterday 10/25, it just arrived I didn't get any information about it being on the way or anything. so I packed my note 7 up and dropped off at UPS about 45 minutes after I received the box. Now I am just waiting for my $100 credit for downgrading to the s7 edge , and also the credit for my taxes for my Note 7. So we will see how long that takes.
I will spare you all the details! What a fiasco! I am with most of you. I have over 8 hours with Verizon CS; 3 visits in store, numerous "chat" and 6+ calls to their CS phone number plus community BB postings, where the answer showed the question was not really read before the answer returned. That response said a local store could take my Note 7. I tried, nobody told the local store that...
I sent a 5 page word document to a friend (manager) at a competitors company with this process (..or lack there of...) with Verizon and that was 5 pages, 11pt font, leaving out most of the details! He is aghast!
The last CS interaction, 8 days ago confirmed no box has been ordered which of course is opposite of what I have been told for over 2 weeks. CS stated they were generating a shipping label, expect it in 3-5 business days. No label. 7 days total. No label.....no label...no label.
To be fair, it was not promised, just expected in 3-5 days, so maybe tomorrow., maybe Monday? (19 days?) And the last CS person, Casey was the first that actually seemed to finally try and figure it out out,
we were on chat for over an hour. To her credit, she was very creative.
Why can't a box simply be ordered by Verizon?????? SKU returndevise.
BTW: I did call Samsung CS. They said Verizon is supposed to send out the boxes if you bought it from Verizon. That is also the opposite of what I have been told for two weeks. That's another story.
No box....no box....no box
BTW: Verizon: Your own spell check in this forum does not recognize "Verizon" as an English word.
****You have been my only carrier. Am seriously looking at others now. You took a totally Samsung mistake and created a fiasco by not having a unified and cohesive response among your corporate layers. Really, PLEASE check the recorded conversations where your CS was confused on why I would return a NOTE 7! This was during the 2nd recall.
I got my boxes over this past weekend. So it is taking them awhile.
Lucky you! Were the boxes sent because you bought another phone? If so, how long was your actual wait? I am now at 3 weeks. VZN CS has told me a label is on the way.
This whole thing is such a mess at first I thought they were a Danger to us shut them down because they are going to catch on fire then we learn the second patch of note 7 were doing the same thing the first one I heard of was the one on the plane but to my understanding of that one was it was turned off.I order a new phone well a s7 edge 2 weeks ago and still have not gotten a box to return this fire cracker and not a word from Verizon or Samsung when or if they well send a box out to me.
I was told by 2 different reps that my box was mailed out on the 26th of Oct. They said I have to allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. I get a lot of packages delivered and the mail system usually works faster than that. But I guess I have no choice and to l wait yet another week to see if I get it! To really confuse matters for them I am having the box shipped to my son at college. They confirmed that its going there but I will still be amazed if it doesn't get screwed up.
I actually got my boxes through Samsung. They came through a company called Stericycle.
elgreenfield did you purchase the Note 7 through Samsung or through Verizon? If you purchased through Verizon what steps did you take to get the box through Samsung and how long did it take to receive the box?
I called Verizon today and they gave me an account credit for my accessories. I mailed my Note 7 back on Friday, October 28th and while I still haven't been credited the sales tax, the customer service rep today agreed to credit me my accessories to my Verizon account, which is disappointing as I was looking forward to the money being back in the bank, but it all works out. Now just waiting on the sales tax.
I finally got my box today and will drop it off at UPS tomorrow. I ordered my new LG V20 on Oct 20th and got it on Oct 25th. I never got an email or text about the box. I'm just glad I can finally send it back so I will eventually get refunded.
I agree on returning the 2nd Note 7 has NOT been a good experience. I too paid money upfront ($500)and was told by Verizon that you had to return the Note 7 first before a refund would be issued. This is after waiting around for 2 weeks with the expectation Verizon would just send the shipping box (I has to reach out to Verizon directly and request a shipping label)
At the time even the online Verizon support did not know the process of return and we spent most of the time either researching or calling Samsung direct to find out Verizon was responsible for shipping phone back to their warehouse. A shipping label was sent to me from Verizon and the phone has been retuned ( save the shipping confirmation # for verification). I am waiting for my refund to appear on my bill. Wonder how long this will be?
In the mean time; the new bill has come and of course Verizon expects full payment of the Droid phone that was purchased before refunding my $500 cash I paid upfront. Samsung lost me a customer and Verizon may not be far behind. I pay my bill on time, why should I have to suffer poor customer service. Unacceptable!
Having the exact same issues. I have been trying to get refunded for my Note 7 ($400) for a month now. I had to pay another $400 out of pocket for a replacement S7 Edge. I have received multiple promises, but each and every rep has faded away and not seen this to a conclusion as promised. I am a stockholder of Verizon and will be selling my positions and switching providers . There is no way to support this inept company in good conscious .
haganjeff,
Getting the proper refund for your phone is imperative. I've sent you a private message to further review this for you.
