Return Box?

Has anyone received this box yet. All I hear on here is what WE should do and how wrong we are to complain about good ole Verizon. Here we are again going through this for the second time and still no one can get this right.

And just for the record Don't tell me again this is not verizon's fault because I am the one who is out almost $500. til they decide how and when they will credit my account back.

Supposedly, allegedly, you are supposed to get a return box at the address of record from when your new/exchanged order is processed.  Verizon is supposed to send out a text message when the box is on the way.  I am two days out from 2 weeks and still haven't gotten the text message. My last contact with a rep indicated if the box doesn't arrive within the two week timeframe, to call back to CS and request a new box be sent.

All fees, taxes and incentive credits will be credited to the account within 1-2 billing cycles.  Refunds will be credited back to the original form of payment...supposedly, allegedly, but no timeline was given there.  I know from some other posts that some people have already gotten their refunds.

It's not Verizon's fault. They didn't make the phone.

They may not have made the phone but they are the ones that made the rules about my MONEY!!

Agreed!! They did not make the phone but they were extremely quick to charge me upfront for the replacement phone (S7E). You guessed correctly - they charged me upgrade fee, sales tax, all upfront. Else their accounting/order processing screen does not work. Sweet!

They also tell me to return the Note 7 in a box I am supposed to receive with instructions. If I fail to do so I will be charged the full price for the Note 7. The threat is ominous - $900-odd for a beautiful banned item.

Then SILENCE!!!! No box, no updated status. Just be patient. This one way patience is getting to be very tiresome. So I join in with my fellow Note 7 buyers and vent.

Verizon please update the forum notice board regarding the 'Return Box".

Andreas_vzw, from what I read here, if you went to a store, or ordered a replacement phone online you are due to receive a return box. How about those of us that aren't picking a new phone from the current line up? I have an older phone in my possession. I plan on activating it and waiting for something better than my current options. Is the return box automatically being sent? Does the "upgrade" initiate that process?

Great question but Verizon didn't make it clear about that because Verizon wants everybody do the upgrade so they can make money regardless of Note 7 hassle!!! I kept mine Note 5 because Verizon never send me a return label[Thx] so I reactivate my old Note 5 but People that already sent their Phone[Trade in]to Verizon should able to get it back from Verizon...........

Predator7, we would never push any of our customer into doing something they don't want to. Customers who have traded their phone in to our warehouse will be unable to request for us to return those phones. The best thing to do is reach out to us individually for account specific options, as this process differs according to the account and situation.

Very good Marcuss_vzw. I followed your advise and called customer support. I was fortunate enough to get a live soul in a reasonable amount of time. I was informed that Verizon is NOT sending out any fireproof boxes. These boxes are supposed to come from Samsung and the Note7 are to be returned to Samsung. This is news to me. Neither you or any of your fellow Verizon reps have said this in your posts.

So can you verify that my info is correct? secondly, how does Samsung get my mailing address if I have not registered the Note 7 on their website? and thirdly, how do I verify Samsung is sending me the return box to my home address (that is where I received my first Note7. I picked up my second Note 7 at a Verizon Corporate Store)?

Your response is greatly appreciated.

rgang50,

I certainly appreciate your patience with us during this time as we understand this recall has been a frustrating process. With regards to who sends out the box. I would like to clarify that it is actually Verizon Wireless. We are sending these recovery boxes out to our customers who still have a Note 7 that has yet to be returned. We are sending them out to the address where we shipped any of the devices to originally. This should clear up the information about how Samsung gets this information since it is actually coming from us and not them. I do apologize about getting so many different answers as this situation is changing frequently but the boxes should already be on its way to any one that needs to still return a Note 7. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns as we are definitely here for you.

Very good Candiceh_vzw. As I have stated in another thread, I spoke with a live Verizon Wireless Rep and he told me that Verizon is not sending out return boxes and that I should be receiving it directly from Samsung. So you should sort it out among yourselves what is what, then post the info it in the bulletin section of this forum. Everyone will benefit that way from a singular Official announcement.

As far as I am concerned I have received a special box from a Fort Worth TX address. The instructions were clear in that they wanted just the Note7 to be returned. Details of how to pack the phone were clearly stated. This I have done and dropped it off at the nearest UPS Office. I am done and dusted with this Note7 experience.

Again thank you all the same for your clarification.

We are trying to make the return process for the Samsung Note 7 as painless as possible, ZUKZEKIM.
To answer your question, if you process an upgrade, yes, a return box will be sent to you. If you choose not to upgrade that is fine as well. We are sending out Note 7 return boxes to every customer that ordered a Note 7 to the address that the Note 7 was sent to. I hope this clears up any confusion there is about the return boxes. I will sit on the Note 7 until the box magically arrives. My main problem with this process is that if I didn't know a box was "supposed to be coming" due to not living under a rock, I would never have known since the "upgrade" process never mentioned it at all. I have had my new LG V20 since 10/21 (at least that part went smoothly), but have had no instructions on what to do with the Note 7 sitting on my desk. Shouldn't there have been some communication to me regarding this mythical box by this time? Currently my account on the website doesn't show me having a Note7, but I harbor no doubts AT ALL that Verizon would charge me for it in the case that they did not send me the box to return it. The original replacement changed my "upgrade date" even though it was a replacement and not a new purchase (although that was how it was sneakily processed), so I'm not exactly expecting the best for this return.

"but I harbor no doubts AT ALL that Verizon would charge me for it in the case that they did not send me the box to return it."

This is exactly what I am fearing!

While looking for the receipt to image for my LG V20 free headphones, I found a new order under "My Verizon", then "My Billing", then "Documents and Receipts" that was entered on 10/25 called "RECALLDEVICE Recall Sys Dr". I can only assume that it is the box as it has a zero dollar charge and 2-day shipping, also zero dollar. I still haven't been notified that this was coming and only saw it due to looking for something else, so the communication still is not being done adequately. Instead of Verizon trying to continually sell me an inferior iDevice constantly (or even better the email today recommending me to "upgrade" my LG V20 to an LG K8 V), I would have assumed (my bad I guess) that the Note 7 information would have been presented to me when logging in.

We'll see what tomorrow brings and hopefully the box itself has more information than what has been forthcoming so far.

1 week later and still no box has arrived. Glad my replacement for my replacement phone actually arrived in the 2-Day window. Looking at the order screen, it is "Currently being processed" still.

Andrea_vzw: I have no option but to wait for the special fireproof 'return box' in order to return the Note 7 in my possession. I received my second replacement S7E on Oct 13. So I will do as you say and wait the two weeks as you have recommended. Thanks for responding.
