Roaming

Does the Galaxy S4 have a setting to alert me when I'm roaming? I just got charged $15 and never knew I wasn't on a Verizon tower or that of a company with whom they have a usage contract. I don't want to go into my settings every time I need to get online to see if I'm roaming.

When you're roaming, there is a triangle icon that displays on the status bar. There is also a 'R' next to the signal bars in the status bar. In the mobile network settings, you can enable or disable your connection to data services when the phone is roaming.

You ask a wonderful question. We send you a text message alert when you are roaming and it indicates roaming charges for calls, text, and data usage. The phone itself doesn't have an alert you can set up for roaming. I apologize for any inconvenience.

That is my point !!! There was NO message sent !!! I never knew I had been roaming until I got the bill and asked about the charge !!!

That is concerning, you should have received a message. Is the charge for exactly $15? It sounds like you may have incurred an overage charge for to much data consumption. Have you been traveling outside the US?
