S 4 Shuts down randomly and won't restart

Hello,

   I brought and S 4 7/27 and loved it for the first few days. A few days later it started shutting down randomly and the only way to restart is to take the battery out. That works for an hour or so until it shuts down again. I've tried uninstalling all the apps I've installed but I still get the same result.

Any sugestions?

Did you add any new applications prior before the phone starting shutting down on it own? Have you tried running the device in safe mode to find if the shut downs occurs or not occurs while in safe mode?

I uninstalled ALL apps that I had installed. I also tried safe mode and it still randomly shuts down.

I would try a master reset. If it does not work, you have a very short window to get the device replaced with a new one.

twinsfan2013, the software for some 3rd party applications can affect the performance of your device. Although you've uninstalled a few application, the issue may still remain on your phone. I recommend that you back up your device at Verizon's cloud or Backup Assistance and then hard reset your phone if the power cycling issue persists. I did a hard reset and have not installed any other apps. This morning I woke up and while my phone was charging it had turn off (and won't turn on if I pushed the power button) I also had a red notification light blinking.

How long do you hold the power button, takes mine about 5 seconds for it to vibrate, which lets me know it will power up
