S4 battery life question

A brand new s4 two days ago and finding myself starting to dislike this phone's because of it's inability to keep a charge. I've searched and done all the standard things; gps off, black wall paper, close all apps, "S" functions disabled, etc... and it still consumes about 3% battery per hour sitting idle overnight connected to my home wifi, which just doesn't seem normal.
I've read on here where some people started reporting excessive battery drain after the latest update and were advised to do a factory reset, is that still the recommendation? If so, really excited to do a factory reset one a 2 day old phone.
Or maybe this is normal?
Thanks

We want you to get the most out of your new Galaxy S4 jeg1. Thanks for everything you've already tried. Here are couple more things you can try and see if anything changes.
You can try placing phone in Power Saving Mode: Menu > My device >Turn ON Power Saving mode
You can also try placing in Safe Mode to see if an application is possibly causing battery to drain. Here are steps for Safe Mode:

"connected to my wifi" is the key phrase there. that is completely normal for the s4. just being connected and staying connected take energy. if you just turned off wifi you would see a dramatic difference. there's not need to stay conencted to wifi overnight, so go ahead and turn wifi off at that time. i have an s4 also and the battery life is great. only time i see the battery life go "fast" is if i'm streaming music and/or on wifi, which is expected. i would refrain from factory reset and just turn off wifi when not needed.

I just do not see a drain like that in mine. If fact I am quite impressed with the battery life considering all I do with the device.
As the other poster stated, staying connected to wifi will use juice.
