I had a Razr which worked perfectly. My S4 can't seem to play music. I have done restarts and troubleshooting with Samsung, no helpl, new SD card 3 of them different manufacturers, no help. It will play some songs and only play 1-2 seconds of the rest. It is deffinately a phone issue and i am so sorry i got this S4 it is ridiculous. God Verizons rules on returns is so customer unfriendly, i am stuck with a piece of crap. does anyone out there know what to do to resolve this issue, i am so mad i could cry.

From what you posted it looks like all your songs are on the SD card. Have you tried putting some music files onto the internal storage, then try to play them, just to see if it's the phones music player or not?

I did try putting them all on the device. What I have found that works, which is a pain, but...... I opened a Amazon Music account transfered all my music to that account and use the Amazon player to listen to music. Even then the device plays continue to do the same thing, but the amazon player plays fine. I am truly not happy with this S4 but I am stuck with it .
