S5 shut off and will not power up.

My phone shut off today and will not power up. Message saying failed to start up use software repair assistant comes up. When I try to use it nothing happens. I tried using smart switch and it won't connect to phone or help restore it. Any info will help.

This is disappinting to hear. I know you rely heavily on your device and we never want you to experience any issues. Let’s work together to get this fixed. You mentioned a message appeared saying “software repair assistant”. Just so we are clear, you attempt to install this on your Galaxy S 5? Have you tried to put your phone on the charger and allow it to charge fully?

Try holding the volume down / home /power button. Then volume up that should put it in a mode that

software repair assistant can read it.
