S7 Edge Screen wont power on, but device still functions.

Last night I plugged my phone in at bed time, everything was working fine, woke up this morning and the screen would not turn on, tried a hard reboot(power + volume up, also power + volume down, also power + home + volume down) the phone reboots, but the screen never comes back(not even the samsung boot screen)

I can swipe and answer calls, see the LED blink, and home keys light up. So the screen "works" but it always black. I hate to lose all the data I just transferred over to that phone. what a PAIN!!!

HELP! it's a brand new phone!!

I know how important it is to have a reliable phone. Let's figure this out together. Thank you for completing those steps. Please power off your phone and remove the Sim card as well as the Sd card. Once removed reinsert both of them and power the phone back on and test your phone. Keep me updated on your progress.

I tried removing the sim card and SD card, no change.

This is certainly odd, eric1h! Being a brand new phone, it should be working flawlessly. How long have you had it? Our best recommendation would be to take it into a store for hands-on evaluation. For the closest corporate store, you can select the following link:
