Out of no where my S7 Edge has stripes across the screen unless I turn the brightness to auto and put it at maximum brightness... has anyone found a resolution for this issue?

We want your display to work flawlessly, hijinx808. When did this start? Did you stop the phone during a software update?

I have this problem, it started out of nowhere. Can you help me please? I have a very thin, pink, vertical line on the right side of my screen, starting where the hour on the time display is and all the way to the bottom. It remains there no matter what I do. Is this a defect?

Hello Robzilla24,
I would be concerned too if there were any issues with my phone. Was there any pressure applied to the phone around this time? Any cracks on the screen or back cover? Has the phone been exposed to liquid or moisture?

Unfortunately the replacement device has an issue with the headphone jack. This has not been a good experience.

I am having the same issue, but my "stripes" don't disappear at max brightness they just get a little smaller. I have searched all over for a solution, but it seems like there isn't one. I am starting to regret switching to this phone. The display is clearly faulty and Samsung will probably issue a recall for this too if enough people speak up. ![]()

emartins5,
Having a properly working device is a must! It is concerning to hear you are having this issue with your screen. What color lines are you seeing? Where on the screen do you see them? Vertical or horizontal?

Thanks so much for reaching out!
There are four bands along the top, middle, and bottom of the screen. They are translucent and seem to be related to the brightness control - the higher the brightness, the thinner the band and vice versa. A hard reset of the phone did not solve the problem, and that's what brought me to Google, YouTube, and other forums to find out what the "fix" is.
It's frustrating to look at, and even more so because I only recently purchased this after two years with a very reliable iPhone 5S. Makes me regret not sticking with Apple despite the flack they get for being "outdated".
Thank you for your time.

Mine just got a red vertical stripe on the right side out of nowhere. I didn't drop it or anything. I knew something would go wrong when I accepted that software update. ARGG!

SARSARSAR,
Help is here! We don’t want for you to have stripes on your screen. You mentioned you did a software update. Did this start to happen right after the update was performed? Is the stripe always on the screen or does it appear when you are only doing some in particular on the phone?

Similar problem here - started weeks ago and I've just not had time to go by local store or ask questions - it is annoying. Would like to know how to get replaced or fixed.

JRandolphT, we don't want this to be an ongoing problem for you. Did you recently update the software on your device? Have you powered your device off/on since this issue started?
