I purchased a new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone on release date, the first phone lasted about 1 month then the wireless charging stopped working. So Verizon sent me a replacement phone, and now about 1 month later, it has the same issue and can only be charged via USB cable.
Anyone else having issues with wireless or corded charging on their Note 8 mobile phone?

We want your phone and charger to work as intended, WILSCH91. I have tested another Samsung device and I confirmed that it charges wirelessly when it is on, and also when it is off. Let's get more information and explore ways to resolve this issue.
When did this issue start?
Is your wireless charger an original Samsung wireless charger, or a third party wireless charger?
Has the charger been dropped, or has any physical or water damage?
Has the phone been dropped, or has any physical or water damage?

Sounds like you may have a bad charging dock.

If you are referring to the charging dock built into the phone, no as
that's the wired cable charger and it works fine. If you mean the wireless
charging pad, then again, I will have to say that is not the issue because
I have several wireless charging pads in my home and in my cars, and none
of them are able to charge my Note 8 now, like they did previously, and all
the charging pads still charge our other phones.
I have been using an Otterbox case and a Mophie juice pack case, and I have
had issues with the Mophie. So I am trying to determine if that could be
the cause.
Anyone else had issues with Mophie juice pack wireless charging cases or
charging pads?

The cases might be too thick to create a connection for the wireless charging to function properly.

No, because the case itself is built for wireless charging.

We appreciate the steps you’ve already taken in troubleshooting, chadindiana. You mentioned you were working on determining if it’s the case itself that’s the issue. Have you been able to wirelessly charge the device without it being in any case? Have you replaced the Mophie case and / or is there an update on the outcome of your troubleshooting there? Is there anything that happens about a month into owning the device that you can think of, such as adding a new app or restoring it (in the case of the replacement)?

Unable to wireless charge the Note 8 phone inside or outside of any case.
Never wet, dropped, scratched, broken, or damaged in any way. And yes, I
powered the phone off/ on. No new apps, viruses, or software issues that
would cause this to happen. It seems to be a hardware defect. Perhaps
Samsung designed the phone incorrectly in how they built their wireless
charging into the phone. We all know what happened with the Note 7 phones
and their battery issues. Better engineering, design, and more testing by
Samsung might be a good idea.
Its hard for me to believe that I am the only Note8 owner who is having
issues wireless charging, and am now going on my 3rd Note 8 in about 3
months time.
My Galaxy S7 Edge phone never had a wireless charging issue.
Mophie says their juice pack case wouldn't cause this issue, but of course
they're going to say that, ha. Maybe it's both that are defective the
Mophie juice pack case and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone. The Otterbox
wouldn't have any impact on causing this issue, so I am ruling it out.
Hopefully someone will find out soon, so I can stop replacing phones every
month, as its a huge inconvenience and very frustrating. When my defective
phones are returned, I hope someone is testing them to determine the cause
of the issue.

chadindiana, making sure all the features with your device are working properly is a priority. Please allow us to further investigate the details. We truly appreciate all the efforts you have taken to try to resolve this matter. Can you please provide us the make/model of the wireless charging pad you are utilizing? Also, please retest your device by removing the otter box case and place your device in safe mode http://vz.to/2rnzsQg. Please let us know if the same concern occurs with the wireless charging pad while your device is on safe mode.

Already tried safe mode, and I have tried several wireless charging pads,
most of them made my Mophie, the vent mount, the desktop pad, and their
standard charging pad. And of course, I have removed the case, both the
Otterbox and the Mophie case and tried to charge the phone with no case on
it, and it still did not work.
I am 99% certain it is a hardware issue, so all these things you are having
me do are a waste of time.

I want to make sure that we are on the same page. You are now talking to a Samsung lover and a Note 8 user. I have had this device since it's release and I am loving the phone. I must admit that I am shocked that you have been having issues with the wireless charging on this device. I have never had this issue. You mentioned that this function would work for a while and then stop working. We have talked about the different cases you have used etc. I would like to know more about what you download onto your device. Have you backed up your phone, done a factory reset (without the restore on) and tried using the wireless charging without a case on the phone?

We know how important it is to make sure that your device is working properly at all times. Have you attempted using a different charger since you started having this issue?

Yes, I have..I even took it in to a corporate Verizon store and they tested it. On 2 different chargers they had..I don't have any battery saving apps or any apps that have anything to do with charging. Yes the wireless fast charging is on, I have read and tried everything. I'm at a loss..and at this point tired of trying.

I also got the note 8 when it was released. I guess I am lucky since the phone was working fine with wireless charging until yesterday. Put the phone to the wireless charger at 15% around 11pm, go to bed, wake up in the morning, the phone is completely drained. I could not charge it both wireless and wired. I tried different cable, wireless charger but still did not work. Thanks god there is a solution in youtube which I both charge the phone wireless and wired at the same time. Waiting for 10 minutes, and the phone start charging again. I took it out the wireless and charge with wire. Everything is good. Now I am trying to charge wireless but it does not work and start draining the battery. Tried different charge station, take out of case, boot to safemode, clear cache, but still not work. The phone show like it is charging but the battery percent keep dropping. So my final solution is do a factory reset so I did. Still the same thing, no wireless charging. What can I do now? Please help.
