Samsung Galaxy S5 and Uconnect

I know there are a few threads out there about this, but I was getting annoyed at some of the responses which did nothing to try and solve this problem.  There is a known issue with the Samsung's with Android 4.4.4 and making calls with a Uconnect system.  After 2 rings the Uconnect ends the call on the Uconnect system only, the phone is still making the call.  This has to do with Uconnect looking for a response from the phone saying that its making the call or the call is active, since there is no system response it drops it. 

This is NOT a Uconnect issue.  This is a VERIZON SAMSUNG ANDROID issue only.  I want to know if there is a resolution from VERIZON about this or if anyone knows how to fix this on the phone or software.

If anyone talks about uconnect firmware updates and navigation systems i might lose it!!!!

Well time to get annoyed!

Talk to Samsung or to Google Inc. they made your device and they are the ones that updated it.

Complaining to or about Verizon Wireless is not going to get you anywhere.

Go to your dealer and see if they can fiddle with it.

The features on your phone are made by the manufacturer, updated by Google its in their ball park.

Not Verizon. If you don't like the answers I would suggest you don't ask the question Smiley Sad

So if an At&t Samsung and all other phones work fine, then its still Unconnect's fault?  And as you stated they updated their phones and didn't take into consideration existing working conditions and just expect other companies and manufacturers to figure it out to keep up with them?  that makes zero sense and if that is their expectation then they will be losing my business and others.

In business when you are updating any operating system, or accounting system or whatever, it your responsibility and best practice to make sure that your upgrades do not hinder the performance of existing peripheral systems.

If Unconnect made a recent update and it stopped working, i would blame them.

I just cannot say that Verizon is the blame. The updates went to all the devices on all carriers.

I cannot say that it does or does not function on these other carriers.

Do you have proof of that claim?

In any case the phone maker normally is the one to contact. Verizon does not put these phones together nor any of the add ons. Try the maker first.

According to UConnect my iphones are not supposed to work, but both of them do. Its a crap shoot.

Who really knows?

After downloading and installing Android 5.0 Lollipop, I can report that this issues seems to be fixed. not only did Uconnect not hang up on the phone call, but if I say SMS, Uconnect asks if I would like to read or reply to a message instead of saying SMS not supported. Finally something works!

So I am having a issue myself and I believe I may have figured it out... not sure how to fix yet and may have to call Verizon on this issue. I have the Galaxy S 5 newly updated to lollipop 5.0 current vehicle is 2015 Chrysler 200 S and the current radio in is the Uconnect 5.0 RA/2. I have no problems with the Bluetooth as that works fine playing music from my SD card but noticed that the picture art was not available, found out that to get the picture art you have to connect via USB.  Now I am not sure about other companies but I know that when I plug my Verizon S 5 into a computer it tries to install the verizon installer/cd in which I believe that when you try to connect via Uconnect that it tries to install the Verizon installer instead of going right to your mass storage. i will try to keep an update on this after calling Verizon wireless.
