Samsung Galaxy S5 - how do I postpone software updates?

They current start automatically while I am on the road -- want to postpone till I get home and on my WiFi, Tks

You can have it set to auto update, but only if wifi is available.  Or you can turn auto update off entirely and do it manually when you choose.

Go to the play store app, tap the three horizontal bars on the top left, scroll down to Settings (gear icon), and the first one should be Auto Update.  Tap that and set options there.

just defer and click later if it comes.

Hi -

The last 2 times I did not get the option to defer, and I went way over my data allowance.  Thought there might be a way to disable auto-updates, meaning I would have to manually check periodically to see if an update was pending.

it will say install later. i chose that. it always ask to install now or later. thats all i know. you cant prevent the ota update.

Thanks, I will pay closer attention next time - I swear I could not have missed the prompt to defer ...... twice ......., but  ......stranger things have happened.  šŸ™‚
