Samsung Galaxy5 update call issues

Ever since Dec 6 when a software update was available for Samsung Galaxy 5, I have not been able to maintain a call. At first I thought it was service, however it doesn't matter where I go, home, work, driving, the person on other end cant hear me, or they tell me I'm muffled or the call is broken up and I've even tried disconnecting the Bluetooth to see if its a problem with that and I've come to the conclusion it is the phone. It is happening on both my husband's and mine. The phone's other features, texting, internet, etc are working great other than receiving or placing a call..Any suggestions?

Let's get your phone working and making calls once more! I'm sorry that it has been experiencing issues since the update. I would recommend doing some basic troubleshooting to attempt to get your device working again. Please follow the steps here to get your phone working again. Let us know how it goes, and we can take it from there once these steps are completed.

The trouble shooting suggestions did not work. I can make and receive calls, it's just that at various times during a call the communication goes in and it until you finally lose the other caller. I do have service, multiple bars, when this happens.

Thanks so much for getting back to us. Let's get the calls working all the time. Is your device in a case? Does this only happen when calling a certain number? Have you fully powered the device down and then remove and reindserted the Sim?
