My alarm no longer goes off to wake me up and the phone lags on everything. Please help. I am about to wipe the phone just to downgrade. It is that horrible.

If you recently took the update, it may take several days for the phone to optimize and settle down. If it still lags after that, you might try a system cache clear. If that doesn't help, back everything up and do a factory data reset (although as mentioned above, it will not remove the latest OS).
Running an FDR will not downgrade the OS version.
