Saving to the SD card

When someone sends me a picture text or an email with an attachment when I save it they are saving to the internal storage. Where is the setting to tell the phone to save that stuff to the SD card? I have gone all though the settings and am not seeing it. Also when I save a photo from a webpage it's going to internal storage and I need it to go to the SD card also and it's not so is that a different setting some where? Mary

Thanks, that's all I kept finding when googling but no where does that info tell me how to set the default storage to SD card so when I get an email with an attachment it doesn't save to the SD card and when I get a picture text and save the picture it saves to the internal storage. I formatted the card several times in the phone and when I go to my files SD card only folders it made were DCIM, android and lost.dir and nothing is getting saved in there. With my other phones when formatting the card it made all the folders for photos and stuff. When I take photos they are saving to the SD card but that's all that is saving to the SD card. What the heck am I missing? On T-Mobile with my LG phones there was a setting to select the default storage as SD card or device and if you clicked SD then photos and documents went to the SD card. Also only browser I see on here is chrome, no stock browser like my former LG phones had and this is what it says for internet but when you go to chrome and follow those steps default storage is not there to tap and say SD card so what are they talking about or did we not get something on this phone with Verizon? Looked all over in email and Samsung text app too for some kind of setting to tell it to save to SD card when I save something. Are you able to save stuff on your S% to the SD card? Getting very frustrated that simple stuff like this was so easy on my LG to find. Do I have to manually move things every time I get 10 pictures in an email? Mary

I stopped at a Verizon store today and with this phone you can't save directly to the SD card. I explained to her what I wanted to do and she looked at my phone and was confused so had to go do some research and came back and said you have to save it then move it to the SD card which I kind of thought was what she was going to find out. That seems like such a simple feature that should be included. I don't care about apps but when I get an email with an attachment or a text with a photo seems silly I have to go through and extra step to get it on the card. I told her on my LG there was a setting to tell it to save to SD card and when she checked she said she wasn't seeing that LG phones could do that either but my L90 could on T-Mobile so maybe it's Verizon that does not allow this? I don't know but I will have to make do and just remember when ever I get sent a photo or document to move it over to the card manually. Mary

This article works, strange place to put this setting. You have to scroll down on Verizon SG5 to get to storage.

Yes the camera was already set to save when I take a photo. If you read my post I am not talking about that as that does not save them to the card from email or texting nor any other files you get in email, you have to move them over manually to the card every time you get one.

I think I am going to get a SanDisk ultra card and the sabdisk memory zone app and I think it will solve my problem. Mary
