is anyone having issues with the screen not shutting off after update g900vvru2bog5? does anyone have a fix for this?

it might've defaulted to never shutoff, have you been into settings/display to check/reset??

thanks. I've checked settings and they appear to be correct but the problem persists. it mainly seems to happen when the screen lock is set to swipe. if I put on fingerprint mode, it doesn't happen.

It is definitely important that the screen be able to shut off when not in use. I understand that it seems to happen primarily when it is set to swipe to unlock and not when you have fingerprint active. Can you try to place the phone into safe mode, and see if the problem persists? Here are the steps for that: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-97645/ I want to identify if this is an issue that is being caused by the software itself, or possibly by a third party app on the device. Safe mode will help with that.

I will also look into the apps to see if they are possibly the cause. several apps updated after the system update.
