Sending picture message over 1mb not working

trying to send picture message over 1mb from cell to cell and it states it is not able to do so. I am trying to send it from a GS7Edge and any mode that the camera goes into it is just to large of a picture size that it will not allow me to txt the picture to someone.

It might be too large. Can you email the picture instead?

yes it can be emailed but we are tying to txt it and it is saying it is to large because it is over 1mb data size.

Yes the max size for MMS is 1MB. If it's too large you have to find a way to shrink the size of the photo like cropping it or some sort of post-processing.
