Thank you for your patience, Timbospaulding. We want to be sure we take every step to improve the overall performance of the battery and I’m happy to continue helping.
The next best step will be to run a diagnostic http://vz.to/1tuzrWq on the phone to check the overall health. Besides the software update, have you made any other changes to the phone? Have the phone suffered any physical or liquid damage?

Timbospaulding,
My phone is my everything so if suddenly my battery was dying quickly after a software update, I'd be upset too. How long is your battery lasting?

Four hours is not very long at all. Let's get into specifics. How do you normally use your phone (apps, GPS, streaming, etc)? From your phone, please go to Settings>Battery, are there any apps or services with high battery consumption?

Smartphones have a tool that allows you to see how much power is being consumed by various apps. If you haven't checked it, here is the location:
SETTINGS -> BATTERY. Scroll down to App power monitor. You also have the ability to enable 2 levels of power saving (mid & max). If you haven't experimented with either, try choosing one to see if the limitations and battery life extension are worth the while.
