My husband and I both own the Galaxy 5. After the recent software updates, the phone is no more than a paper weight.
I have went to a Verizon store and they blamed it on Samsung. They said you have to wait for a new update then told me it would be easier to just upgrade. They said the phone can't handle their system. Verizon store said my "insurance" doesn't cover this issue.
I can't use Repair Assistant as both phones do not register to any computer. I can't even pull my photos off.
The battery drains at quick rate. By noon, my battery is dead.
The phone turns down the volume. I could turn up the volume but then a minute later I could be holding the phone and missed a call or text.
Most of my texts do not go thru - I have to shut down my phone for them to be sent - even though the screen shows they have been "sent".
The phone won't turn on. You have to hit the buttons over and over to get it to turn on.
The screen has lines and seems to be rolling.
Still uses data even on wifi. We have turned off data usage and only on in wifi, but for some reason it still uses data.
