Purchasedy s7 edge 5 months ago. Speaker sounds "blown" i.e. scratchy, crackely when on speakerphone or even headphones. How long is my warranty, is this covered? What is the repair process and how long to fix?
It fell into the sink while the faucet was running once (but not submerged,
just running water). This was months ago. The speaker problem just started
recently within the past week or so.

one year warranty. CALL SAMSUNG CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEY WILL GIVE A RMA WARRANTY CLAIM NUMBER AND PREPAID SHIPPING LABEL. expect 10 days turnaround. own s7 edge too same issue. not returning mine. just go it as soon as you can.better to deal rightly with samsung directly. MANY OTHERS are returning for repair. GOOD LUCK/ITS PAINLESS. JUST WAITING IS THE PAIN.
So I have to be without my phone for possibly a week or more? Do they give a replacement temporarily?
NEGATIVE. unless you have insurance under vzw or samsung. i went thru without.
I do have insurance but i believe its a 100 deductible. I can deal with a scratchy speaker vs. spending 100 on a phone when i swap out every year anyway under their new plan. Its not having my phone that i cant deal with...work, gps etc. Thanks for the quick response!
i too have samsungs plan. doing without device is useless. i agree.
MICMUE7, I want to make sure your phone is in tip top shape. Has your phone experienced any physical or moisture damage?

MICMUE76,
Thanks for reaching out to our community member forums. We're glad you're with us. We completely understand that not having a phone is a major inconvenience. It's for this reason, that we can also assist you with the warranty process in a way that does not include downtime. All the manufacturers send us large shipments of warranty devices in advance whenever they launch a phone. We have them in a warehouse to provide an expedited process for our customer base. With our process we ship you the replacement phone first, and then you would send in the defective phone using the included prepaid return label. This way you don't have any downtime.
