Still having TOO MANY problems with my Samsung Galaxy S 5.. I take it in to Verizon, NO Help. My problems are... phone won't complete calls, Facebook and other online apps shut down during operation, Messages don't go thru. I have nothing but a glorified FLIP PHONE. It's amazing to me that Samsung did this JUST as their S6 came out????? A marketing ploy or what??? I will never purchase another Samsung again! I swore by them proir to this. I loved my phone. Even though my Husband and the rest of the family has iPhones. I guess my next purchase will be an iPhone. 4 months is a long time to be without a working phone when you are disabled and NEED a phone to be able to call for help.

Is it still under warranty? If so, have them replace it. If you've had the phone less than a year it should still be under warranty.
If not, I'd suggest a factory reset since you're having far too many problems with it. If it's still a brick after a factory reset I'd assume it's a hardware issue that only a new phone will fix.

Do the reset immediately and if it's still a brick, have them replace it. No sense in keeping the brick and working with Verizon indefinitely when it's likely a hardware problem (if the reset doesn't fix it).
