Storage Space Running Out

I have a Storage Space Running Out message on my Galaxy Core Prime I can't get rid of.

I have moved all the apps I can to the ad card, cleared caches and data and deleted apps.

One thing I noticed, when I view Storage, Miscellaneous Files size is calculated at 4.77 Gb, but when I view the files the royal is less than 400 In

Please help.

K19bobo,

Having enough room on our devices these days is a must! Sounds like you have been on the right track of making space. The Galaxy Core Prime has only 8GB of onboard memory. When you take into account all of the preloaded apps & software on the device, that does not leave a lot of room for much else.

You have been doing everything right by utilizing an sd card, deleting unused apps, & clearing the cache. Other things you can look at to make room is clearing out text messages, call logs, & moving pictures/videos to sd card asd well.

I have this exact same problem with my Galaxy 5S.

I have removed many apps that used to be fine, I deleted all texts, cleared caches, and moved as much to my SD card as I can.

Note to Verizon:  This is new behavior.  This phone has functioned fine for a very long time, and I have added only a few applications, etc. lately.  Since this problem started, I have removed a number of applications that had been functioning just fine.

Responses from Verizon that "there isn't much space" are not helpful.  The problem seems to stem from the use of space for "Miscellaneous Files."  My phone reports 5.46GB of "Miscellaneous Files" storage used, but, when I select that category to remove them, there are only a few files listed, their sizes totaling less than 1MB.

Help!

In an attempt to clear this up, I have removed many photos (about half of what I had), I have removed many applications that I have had for a long time (and worked fine until now), and I have made certain I am using my SD card for storage where I can.
