Our talk-to-text option is gonee in our S5s, apparently since the last update. The microphone is available for most apps, but not for texting. The microphone is not under the press-and-hold gear next to text input.
Any ideas how to restore it?
I figured it out, combining some old suggestions and some new.
Google Search had to be enabled.
We installed Google Keyboard.
Followed all directions (3 steps) on Google Keyboard.
Then I could even switch back to the Samsung keyboard and we can now see the microphone once again.
I can certainly give more info on Settings specifics should anyone else be looking for answers to the same issue.
