I am having problems with having my text wiped out and I did not delete it. Anyone know how to prevent this?

Thank you very much for pointing that out. I am new to this process and am still feeling my way around. I did the suggestion on clearing the data. Hopefully that will do the trick.
Happened to me and many others. Verizon and Samsung know about this and said it will be fixed with the next update. The fix is easy. You will have to download another keyboard from the market. I downloaded "Swipe" and even though I didn't want to use another keyboard, I now like this one better than the original. This fixed the problem for me. Good luck.
