Text message icon showed up while updating, after update it was gone.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and a software update came up and I started it and while it was going on the text icon showed up in the upper left corner. Since I was updating I couldn't view it but once the update finished and the phone rebooted there was no new text in my Messages+ folder.

Keeping the phone up to date is definitely important, 92filmgeek. The thing is, with all we do on our phones these days, it’s challenging to find a time when we’re not using it for something to do an update. We’ll be glad to help in any way we can here. How are things going with the phone since you did the update? Have you powered the phone down fully (for about a minute) since the update? Have you checked to see if all your apps, especially Message +, are up to date since doing the software update?
