Texting problem after update

Since the update, it has become a royal pain to send a new text. If I am trying to start a new text or group text, it will not pull up contact numbers when I type in their name. It just pulls up their email addresses. The phone was working fine prior to the update.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Is there a fix yet?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone, but I got the answer. Power phone off, remove battery for 30 seconds or more, and then replace battery. I asked why that worked and was told it "refreshes" your phone. Strange, but ok.
