I am having issues with my Samsung Galaxy SIII mini. When people text me, sometimes I don't receive the text at all and sometimes I receive the text hours later. Why is this? It's hard to follow a text conversation and reply to it when you are behind in the conversation.
Also, my phone is really slow and sometimes it freezes. I am constantly getting rid/shutting down my running apps and I've even deleted a lot of my apps to try to resolve the issue with no luck.
Both of these issues are kind of frustrating, but it's the texting issue that really irritates me. My friends and I mainly text and now I can't even do that. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Sounds like you might need a factory reset and start over. Use wifi to reinstall any apps.

Look no further help has arrived! Text messaging is my main means of communication with family and friends, so I completely understand how upsetting it can be when it is not working properly.
Are you having issues with standard text message being delayed or are they picture or group messages? When did you start having this issue? Does it only happen with certain people or is it random? When you send them a text do they receive it right away or are they delayed as well?
You mentioned your phone is running slow and freezing. Does this happen when accessing a certain app or function on the phone? How much memory space do you have available on the phone?

It seems to be both standard texting and picture & group texting and it appears to be random; it happens off and on with different people. Sometimes the texts that are sent to me will be 5 minutes late and sometimes they will be an hour later after they've been sent. I can't remember exactly how long I've been having this issue. It's been going on for several months. I think they usually get the text I send them right away.
My phone freezes off and on for anything I do, not just for apps, even when I try to dial on my phone. It seems like for everything I do, my phone is abnormally slow and it will often freeze. I usually end up having to power down or removing the battery to unfreeze my phone. I have about 1.56 GB of space available on my phone. I've tried deleting a bunch of things off my phone, but that didn't help.

The number it gave me on my phone for build number is: KOT49H.G730VVRUBNE2. The hardware version is: G730V.05. I'm not sure how to update to the current software version.
Thanks for taking time to troubleshoot and check the software. I do see this is the current software version for your device so it does not need to be updated. Did you have a chance to tst device in Safe Mode? Any new apps or updates installed when this began?

I was able to get my device into Safe Mode, but I don't know how to test it. It mentioned something about uninstalling my apps and then reinstalling them, but installing apps takes up a lot of my data usage, and if I reinstall all these apps, it will use up all of my data. This issue has been going on for several months, so I don't know which apps or updates I installed during this time.
Sounds like you might need a factory reset and start over. Use wifi to reinstall any apps.

I am glad you were able to get your device in safe mode. To test our your device just use your phone as you normally would to see if it is still moving slow and if you are still haivng issues with not receiving and delayed text.
