Need to know if anyone has transferred from Verizon to TMobile and was told a pin transfer number was required
Maybe this?

Not sure why they would need the SIM PIN/PUK, as far as I know that is used to protect the SIM, which presumably they are replacing with a T-Mobile SIM anyway. Is the phone now unlocked, they may be looking for an unlock code.
Think it's unlocked - never set up a "lock" on cellphone. The TMobile associate assisting us was more
into trying to sell us new phones than assisting us in transferring to them for service provider.
It was suggested to us by someone who switched to TMobile without any problems, to try a different T-Mobile store. I had to pay for another month to Verizon and will try once more before billing is due

I ported one of my lines, my 28-year Verizon number to T-Mobile two months ago. I went into the store and it only took a half hour. They did ask for my Verizon four digit PIN. T-Mobile made it fast and easy. And I'm enjoying BLAZING 4G and 5G speeds everywhere at a 40% lower cost.
Went to TMobile store today and the person assisting us said we needed Transfer Pin Number, which I had, and a sim card unlock pin which I didn't have. They didn't offer much help except to say get the info required and come back
I transferred one of 2 lines to Spectrum and had to apply for a transfer PIN number. Beware though, once I did that my remaining line with Verizon went up significantly because I had less lines. No one at Verizon told me that.
