Anyone else having problems watching You Tube videos? I'll be watching one and continuously have to tap the play button. It will run for a while and then go into pause. Very disturbing.
Do you have the smart pause on? It is one of the "smart actions" Samsung has been adding to their phones.
PS mortb, you bought the Note 3? Full price or upgrade purchase?
Yes, I have Smart Pause on, but my eyes never left the screen. I thought at first that it was a buffering action, but it isn't. It automatically goes into pause at various times. I got the Note 3 at discount price and yes, I lost my data program and have to go for the 2 GB package. No problem for me, at home I always use my wi-fi, and average out about 1.2 GB per month. Too bad Verizon doesn't have a program like the ancient Cingular had...carry over minutes. That would be great.
I have read that the Smart Actions have had issues following the user's eyes if they wore glasses. I know I was having trouble with the smart scroll because of my glasses. In the end, I turned it off.
Normally, when I'm doing anything with the phone, such as surfing, I usually do not have my glasses on. But that is a good point to remember.
Hello and happy Tuesday mortb,
As a fellow YouTube lover, I can certainly understand the sense of urgency to get YouTube working again. After all, YouTube is a great way to stay entertained while on the go. May I ask were you able to get this issue resolved? If not then we are here to help. Let's start with are you using a YouTube app or are you going to the website to play videos? Also, are you using cellular data to access YouTube or are you on wifi? As you share the details of the issue then we can get to the root cause and find a permanent resolution. I'm looking forward to your reply.
Thank you...

I believe I found the culprit. It is Smart Pause. The same thing was happening with my own home videos. I looked around and did shut off Smart Pause. Now, both my own videos and You Tube are working perfectly. Ann157, you were correct.
