Like so many others, UPS claims my trade in for my S22 is lost. It's been "delayed" at their Dallas warehouse since March. I've looked through forums and noticed that this is a rampant problem for many users. Verizon, when will you fix your system so this stops happening? All I want is my $800 trade in credit for my account. I'll happily email any Verizon member who can help a video of me boxing up the phone, the related tracking number, and a picture of the receipt from the UPS store.

I have experienced this issue as well. I traded in my iPhone 11 pro on October 4th, but not only was it not filed as a trade in, I entrusted the store to send my old phone. After being promised an $800 credit towards my new phone, the old one is now lost, the store is now under a different carrier,a nd I am left to pay for the new phone after having paid off the old one and being told I was getting the max trade in value. Mostly disappointed that the store and records do not reflect my transaction and now I am left to pay for the new one.
The customer service reps for Verizon have spent hours on the phone with me trying to track down the old phone, but have said there is nothing to be done no matter who I talk to.

I work for the post office and I sometimes get mail in collection boxes that have these returns in them. If you put stuff out in collection boxes, be sure to properly seal whatever it's in... The glue in the summer slides right off. Especially in tyvek and bubble mailer envelopes, and boxes with just a couple pieces of tape... It just pops off in the heat or when it's super cold, it does the same thing.
I always suggest people take these things to the counter of ups/USPS/FedEx to have them scan it in there to avoid any mishaps during the collection process.
As for it being stuck in a warehouse.... I believe it. I can't speak for UPS, but with USPS, there are so so many machines this stuff gets put it on that anything can be lost temporarily. Some machines for I stance, only get cleaned out every few days and some of them once a week. There are thousands of places anything and everything can get stuck in.
TMobile tried to tell me that my return was never mailed in, and I actually had access to see a photo of my package on a machine within the facility it was last scanned in. I took the print out to T-Mobile and showed them that I did not have the phone. I actually had charged it and just turned it on battery saving mode and just left location services on.... They were able to ping it to see where the physical phone was.
They took it from there and contacted UPS to tell them where it was stuck at.
Keep pestering whatever mailing service you're using until it's found. ❤️
