Now that ATT and Sprint have officially put out the OTA for Android Pie, just wondering when VZW might show some love? Kind of funny that Verizon was one of the first for the S9 and S9+, but is behind on the Note.
Yup and it is very annoying since you can really easily side load the final Pie update.
I'd also be curious why the "biggest & reliable networks" hasn't pushed it out to the Note 9.
TMobile has pushed it out now too ….. I guess we'll be somewhere behind Cricket or Boost to get this.
Lol. Pretty sad isn't it.
not exactly an easy process for a novice.
They don't make money off of these updates so why rush them to the customers.
Darly, we know that new software can be exciting. Before releasing any software to our valued customers we do put the software through our own rigorous testing with the network. This is to ensure that we are keeping your device safe. we just need wait
Thanks for the response and explanation. However, the link sent shows page
not available and for some reason....I cannot log into my Verizon account
now.
Verizon, you must get these updates way before you actually push them out. So why does it take so long to test and get it out in a timely manner?
I was going to also say, that if you would like, please delete my comments.
I looked and they come across not the way I meant them. But once again,
thanks for the explanation. I'd rather be safe like the representative said.
JODMON23 - It takes time for them to create the VZW-specific firmware that disables the native Samsung services (like Samsung Cloud, etc) so that VZW can keep trying to sell you their lame imitation of the same services to try to take another chunk of $$$ from you every month.
You took the words out of my mouth....
Canned response with a invalid link - Please treat you valued customers better then this.
Jason08291973, I have the same thought about the canned responses every time I see a VZW CS post. You would think these people could come up with some different ways to answer us. It gets old hearing them say how sorry they are about the trouble users are having and, as you pointed out, often including invalid links
When your are the biggest fastest and more reliable ..why are you always last to the party??..Humm
It's because they are the biggest - they've gotten to the point where they just don't care when (or if) they get to the party. Case in point they only posted a canned response to this thread and have not followed up.
Darlene, I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with the link we sent you earlier. The following link will take you to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Software Update page where you can review the latest software update. I apologize for any inconvenience not being able to access the website caused you earlier. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-note9-update/

Sounds a lot like a canned answer. All other Verizon phones are updated, at least the one eligible. I think it's ridiculous there isn't even a clue when.
Signed a very unhappy long time customer (since 1999)!
I'm waiting so I can finally use the wireless android auto function. An $800 head unit and $1000 phone and months later I'm still no closer to finally not having to wire in my phone. So sad for one of the top tier phone networks. And I don't want to hear about safety testing for devices. The same devices from other carriers have already implemented it, and there's no way they test every phone or bug reports, crashes and fixes wouldn't exist!
