Here's a great piece on why VZW should get us 4.1 ASAP

all i know is that if it were to get jellybean before the rest of us get ICS, it's gonna get ugly....lol
I already got it :smileyhappy: twice well 7 times if you include my Nexus 7 preorder(GSM, and LTE version GNexus has it already).
I will say this now... I am impressed with Google with JB, and ICS didn't impress me much over GB.
I agree with your statement about ICS.
So many people say "it's amazing". I don't think there is anything special about it
Seems to me JB runs more efficiently than ICS. Honestly this 6 month upgrade deal between GB and JB doesn't do Android justice. If they actually take their time with their next big release there would be the wow factor. Since they keep doing this 6 month update deal a lot of stuff ends up out of the mix or things don't run as well as they should. The gap between ICS and JB proves this to me.
i bought the nexus 7..jelly bean doesnt seem so amazing.. but then again i never get android users who think os updates do anything in the first place.. 90% of the time its the same with a pretty new shine

I am wondering how you bought the Nexus 7 when it is still in pre order status.
It might get ugly, but fast updates is part of the reason a lot of us bought the Galaxy Nexus. The Xoom WiFi is already getting Jelly Bean because it was technically a Nexus tablet from the start. The Xoom 4G will probably have to wait a while since Verizon is slow to approve updates to anything that hits their network, and there are several other tablets out there that are capable of running JB but may never see the update. That said, I have a feeling that it's going to be a while before any existing Verizon phone gets JB - including the Nexus - because Verizon is so slow to approve updates.
If Google really wanted to if they have an update they could leak it. If the people wanted it that bad they'll install the leak. Which Google is notorious for. Since there isn't a leak they are nowhere near beta for the LTE version of the Nexus. Though Google has released the source code one could easily compile their own Jellybean update.
