As I am unable to have a mobile device at work, I have been using the Verizon desktop link (https://web.vma.verizon.com/vma/web2/Message.do?s) to send /receive texts from my PC for several years now (I believe the former VMA app no longer works/is no longer available). The link has continued to work to meet most of my needs; however, I am unable to receive texts from certain contacts. These contacts DO receive the texts I send through the PC , but their responses can only be seen on my phone. This issue is frustrating because I often miss important messages while I am physically away from my mobile phone. I believe it may have something to do with MMS vs. SMS, or messaging type, but I do not know how to resolve this.
Unfortunately I am NOT able (or allowed) to install a 3rd party application on my work PC, so the link above is my only option. I believe I found a way to resolve this in the past by manipulating the texting app settings on my wife's phone (one of the contacts affected), however, when she got a new phone, the problem returned & I couldn't remember how I fixed it before!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated as I would really like to maintain the ability to communicate this way when I am without my mobile phone. Thanks in advance for the assistance!
